Designer's Bio

Born and breed in Perak, Tuan Faizel Azraf was certain to succeed in the fashion industry. Through hard work, determination and great passion; known now as Faizell Azraff finally reached his dreams of becoming a fashion designer without any formal training. He started his career in the (fashion) industry six years ago; from the bottom working his way to the top, in various boutiques as a cutter where he learnt the techniques of pattern making and sewing which was his main interest.

His turning point came early this year when he was given the opportunity to create an evening dress for our local singing sensation Fauziah Latiff. This particular garment got much publicity from the media and since then celebrities such as Julia Ziegler, Aleeza Kassim, supermodel Zahnita and entrepreneur and owner of Rafflesia Pearl Centre, Winnie Sin has been seen gracing his designs.

Getting inspirations from his surroundings and asymmetrical shapes, he came up with his version of the Origami creation which has turned a few heads. When asked about his fashion icons, he simply smiled and said, “...my mum”. Her personality and fashionable style was all he knew growing up which made her and inspiration to him. Today, he works on his own making clothes for his group of loyal clients which are from high society. He has found freedom and much confidence since handling his own label.
